As I promised, container garden updates would be forthcoming.
The first one will focus on Swiss chard. This nutritious vegetable it growing so well on the deck. Conditions of rain and sunlight must be just right for this leafy treat. It is simple to take a leaf for a sandwich or to clip a couple for a stir-fry. I recommend it highly if you like Swiss chard or if you want to give it a try.
As an added bonus, it is a pretty sight to see these green leaves with red veins and stems. Almost poetic, I think.
Gardens are a sure reminder of time. Life spans vary with plants as with people as was all too clear this past couple of weeks with the decline and loss of a brother. It has been a long week, so this post is rather brief. Best all!
