NEW YEAR! MIND MAP YOUR NEW PLAN!

SUMMER MIND MAP ON RECYCLED PAPER

As January is flying by, I thought I would share  my mind mapping strategy for planning my writing plan directions this year.

In a Guest Post at WM Freelance Writers Connection, I outlined how I sketched out my 2011 plans for writing by genre and by possible specific topics. You can read the post and see the mind map at http://t.co/XU0uoI2 .

Mind mapping has worked well for me. I like the process of starting with a central topic, theme, and, then, using coloured markers or ink, branching out in varied directions.

When I look back at this mind map, I can check off finished items and,  also, note what I have yet to do. This works especially well with the monthly mind map shown here.

Give it a try.  Let me know how it goes for you!
