HARVESTING CONTAINER GARDENS!

Here in Ontario, Canada, the August days always bring cooler nights.

Cherry tomatoes plus one spud!

Before you know it, time is here to harvest all sorts of garden produce. The container garden is providing the summer’s output.

For me, this means that I will be capturing all the little cherry tomatoes that are ripening now. Also, a green pepper or two will be added to a salad.

The basil is ready for processing into pesto that I freeze in small amounts for adding to pasta later.

All in all, it is a small but tasty harvest.
