Well, it’s a stormy windy day here in Ontario!

What better way to escape from the howling winds than to listen to some music. Fortunately, I bought a new CD on the weekend and I am looking forward to playing this CD once again.

Andrea Bocelli‘s, passione, will take you on a trip through some of the top love songs of the last few decades.

It is a celebrated collection with words like “Ipanema” and “Portofino” bringing to mind those romantic tunes of the past for a few generations. With  the added vocals of Jennifer Lopez and Nelly Furtado on a couple of songs, the songs are appealing to varied ages.

Producer David Foster has included, as well, a technical combo of voices from the present and past, mixing Bocelli with the late Edith Piaf on her signature song, La Vie En Rose.

My favourite song is Bocelli’s version of September Morn, a Neil Diamond tune that was popular more recently than some of the other selections. Now listed as “Sarà Settembre”, the Italian wording for this title.

Bocelli’s voice also gives a new sound to these favoured songs for those who like to dance.

It’s a bit late for Valentine’s Day but this is a collection that will become a top choice for the times when you just want to chill, maybe even dance!
