SPRING–STORIES AND CELEBRATIONS!

Celebrations, big or small, add so much to the daily routines of our lives.

This week, on a personal author note, I would like to celebrate  that one of my fiction titles was posted this week at the Small Town Authors website.

English: Map of Port_Elgin, Ontario, and Lake ...

My story–Best in the Bruce!— is written in an acrostic format with each sentence beginning with a letter of the alphabet–26 sentences from A to Z. It was a challenging venture but I was intrigued by writing this fiction as I drew on favourite holiday haunts from visits to the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario when our children were young. The Peninsula, which juts between Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, is rich in natural beauty. Please check out the link if you wish.

Celebrations of all types bring to mind favourite childhood stories, books read by myself as a child or shared with my children as a family.

March seems to be a month of celebrations, it seems to me. With family birthdays, St. Patrick’s Day, and frequently, Passover and Easter, there are many festive days. That has led to an abundance of books for Spring Reads with young children in March.

Here are a couple of screen shots of book covers for books that were shared in our home.

If the title appeals to you, check out your local library or the internet.  Enjoy! 🙂                                                      Source: Public Domain             Wikipedia
