Hot and sultry morning here in southern Ontario.

Just read a post with a poetry prompt entitled Morning Crisp that put a cooler spin on the day.
This prompt inspired me to write a new poem about a particular vacation at the cottage.
Morning Crisp at the Cottage
We stayed up late.
Sitting back
in our yellow Muskoka chairs,
to see the stars,
we were graced with the Northern Lights,
all green and flashing.
Sleep followed
with a constellation of dreams and
Milky Way stars.
Topped with mugs full of morning coffee
for sunrise on the lakeshore
at McKellar,
we looked out on the new day.
