Just a brief post before I take off for a few days…
Fall weather has been wonderful the past few days. The Weather Network and others are warning of colder temperatures to follow; however, I have to say that we have been fortunate to enjoy the recent gentler days of autumn. Hope this good weather continues!
Many changes in colour and scents are evident as gardens and leaves morph into their declines.
Black and grey squirrels have been scurrying throughout the neighbourhood.
Various birds are flying here and there but this week I managed to take a picture of one of the cuter types in our backyard–a black-capped chickadee. This evergreen tree was like a magnet to many birds. If you want to know more about this little bird or others, check out Cornell’s site at http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Black-capped_Chickadee/id . They even have a current free download of owl calls!
