It’s been a while since I posted a word or two so I thought I would do so today.

Well, for starters, the renovations are going well!

Who knew that there were so many steps to taking down and building up a room? The contractors, of course!

Thankfully, these individuals know so well what they are doing and can turn the older looks into an up-to-date style. Amen.

Meanwhile, back in the dining room, Charlie Brown has taken up his post in the corner, once again. It’s interesting how many conversations are sparked by this little character.

It is not yet the official winter season here in Ontario despite indications to the contrary — freezing cold temperatures, fierce winds and snow of varying amounts.

Unlike some ducks that I saw in a photo today, I am glad to be in a warm house despite the renovation stage we are in!

As for the ducks in a photo by Keith Good, shared by Marie Elena Good, one of my favourite Lake Erie poets, I wrote this small poem. Enjoy!
