CONTAINER GARDEN PEPPERS HARVESTED BY SQUIRRELS!

Surprise!

That is what my family found when the BBQ was uncovered on the weekend. Some small, hungry creature had picked some ripe red banana peppers from the container garden, hauled them away from the plant to the underworld of the BBQ and proceeded to chow down on these spicy gems. Following the initial shock of finding these remnants of a peppery feast, we cleared away the side tray and proceeded to cook food for supper.

The following morning, I went outside to the deck for my morning coffee. Lo and behold, in the corner under the clothes drying rack, I discovered another pile of leftovers!

BEDTIME SNACK!

After this second incident, I decided to harvest the rest of the peppers before they were eaten by the squirrels or chipmunks that scurry through the yard. Not sure if they will tackle the cherry tomatoes next!

Meanwhile, as summer winds down, there are some tasks remaining for sorting out files and books and things. Great projects for rainy days!

Have a good one!
