Gathering — ’tis the season for family, friends and communities to get together for the holidays of all persuasions!
Centuries old, this social custom of gathering is filled with traditions, some old, some new. While many of us are heading home for holiday celebrations, others are taking a flight to warmer climes or ski resorts.
Whatever the season or reason, enjoy as you gather together!

As the year is winding down, wrote this haiku on home for a poetry prompt:
red geraniums
potted with green grassy spikes
welcoming me home
