Shadows have a reputation! They can be scary or funny, a trick of nature and math in our lives.
Ever since I first heard Robert Louis Stevenson‘s poem, My Shadow, I have been amazed by the presence of these fleeting images.
Each year, throughout the seasons, I marvel at the changing shadows of trees in the yard. In winter, there is a special take on these images as they seem to float on the snow-packed lawns. This one, in my photo, caught my eye, especially.
