TRANSITION

Transition is the theme for a weekly photo challenge, one that is well-timed it seems to me.

On one front, unfathomable changes are occurring in the world, both politically and environmentally.  Various leaders are meeting to discuss solutions. Wishing them wisdom on their deliberations.

For this post, however, I will step back closer to home where it has been a year of transitions with losses and some celebrations, as well.

This time of year symbolizes the whole process of transition, so clearly manifested at Thanksgiving tables and harvest festivals throughout the autumn months.

This acorn squash, locally grown, represents the beauty of that growth and change from seed to ripened produce, definitely a transition to savour!

NOVEMBER WINDS

Strong winds are blowing outside my window tonight. I’m hoping that these mighty gusts disperse the fragments of a not-so-great November.

The autumn colours are gone now but the decorative lights on houses brighten up the neighbourhood.

As I gaze up at this amazing moon, I realize that our planet is so small in the bigger scheme of things.

There is so much for which we can be grateful on this little planet.

Happy Thanksgiving to our American neighbours.

Peace to all! 🙂
