For me, I like to catch the small moments in the every day surroundings. Sometimes I express these glimpses in a poem or blog post; other times, I catch a photo, maybe a close-up or landscape view.
Looking through my photos, I found a recent one that I had taken as the morning sun melted away the magical hoar frost that coated this part of the world. My oft-photographed silver maple was shedding the white of the snow while the outdoor glass lantern lit up with the sunlight. First, I thought that I had, mistakenly, turned on the light switch but that was not the case. This was a little bit of free electrical light glowing on the deck side of the house.
Hope I can always marvel at the simple moments of each day!
