EARTH HOUR 2015

Once again, it is time to pause for a few minutes to reflect on our dear planet. Earth Hour is observed in many countries across the world.

This week, I decided to respond to a wordling poetry prompt in recognition of this special hour. The bolded words were provided at the link listed below my poem.

2015 EARTH HOUR

Backyard robins are quiet after a day of nest-building

Reminding me of the swallows that used to hang out in the barn

In the pond, pools of water circle the frog

as he wakes from winter

We light a camp-fire in the circle of rocks

Earth hour has begun on this cold spring night.

Enjoy your Earth Hour!

Found at Lake Huron!

Winter, hopefully, is winding down. March, to me, always bring thoughts of spring, weeks ahead of the actual date.

This week, The Poetry Park prompt listed below* led me to take a look at some of my photo memories from one of our Great Lakes. There are remnants of so many stories in the items that are found in a stroll along the beach. .

HURON SHORES

beachcombers

delight in sand

no ocean tide just waves

to wash away castles

old dreams
