FOUR ROOMS IN FEBRUARY!

Quotations–those key words and phrases uttered, written by someone along the way have an uncanny way of resurfacing from time to time.

One of the most profound quotes that I have encountered is listed here below:

“There is an Indian proverb that says that everyone is a house with four rooms, a physical, a mental, an emtional, and a spiritual . Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time but unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person.”
― Rumer Godden

My 4-room dish!

This time I found the quote on a website at GoodReads.com. (I pasted it so the typo is not mine!)  Actually, I have found this quote in magazines, journal books and even the work written by Godden herself.

It always causes me to ponder about life in general and the latest stage of mine, in particular. Finding that 4-room equation is a challenge at times.

Looking for a winter read, you might want to check out Godden!

When I was sorting through some dishes this week, I found this glass dish which reminded me of Godden’s words. Here is a photo of the dish. I will leave the quote and my photo with you for a Friday finish.
