SLIDE INTO DECEMBER!

December is upon us!

Shorter days filled with the hustle and bustle of readying for the holidays.

Snow is falling lightly and all is well in this part of the world.

That could change this week as some renovations begin in our late 70s home.

Hope all goes smoothly!

On the weekend, visited a couple of local villages, met for lunch and managed to find a couple of gifts. The sky was filled with amazing clouds, similar to the ones in an earlier photo.

Have a great week all!

CHERRY TOMATOES!

Well, the first harvest of cherry tomatoes is ready & waiting! The container garden is starting to yield some pickings so sweet. It is so handy to pick some of the cherry tomatoes, some basil leaves & a leaf or two of Swiss chard for adding to some pasta on these hot summer days.

The hot dry weather has take a toll on everything from lawns to fruit and vegetables; however, we will enjoy what we can.

For a couple of days there has been less humidity, enabling all to open the windows and turn off air conditioners. With some house renovations for installing hardwood floors, I have to say that it was helpful to have AC. Our dog, Cody, seems to have adjusted to the change from carpeting to hardwood.

2012 HARDWOOD

The last couple of days have also been great for cloud watching! With clear blue background, the white cumulous clouds have morphed into so many different shapes. This is the time when sitting on the deck becomes an integral part of the summer.

Have a great week!
